May 27-29
Thursday’s Moore County Farmers Market will have fish (jumbo soft crabs, scallops, shrimp, Spanish mackerel, grouper, and snapper), Angus grass-fed beef, pastured pork, pastured chicken, free range eggs, ostrich meat and by products (ostrich skin wallets, skin essential oils), local honey (and by products of soaps, and body butter), and goat cheese products. Plenty of produce is available… asparagus, beets, Swiss chard, kale, radishes, summer salad mix, micro greens, Romaine and leaf lettuce, red peppers, cucumbers, green beans, red potatoes, cabbage, broccoli, zucchini squash, fennel, kohlrobi, green elephant garlic, and more. In the fruit department we will have Kalawi peaches and one more week of Gary Thomas strawberries! Try the delicious breads and desserts on Thursday and Saturday, pickles, jams and jellies on Thursday, and beautiful plants for your garden, yard, or patio at both markets. Join us at 604 W. Morganton Road from 9-1 on Thursday and from 8-noon on Saturday at the downtown Southern Pines park on the corner of NY & Broad. Eryn Jones Fuson, the harpist, will provide our music. We always look forward to seeing you at the markets!
