Please consider voting now for us at the Pilot “Best of the Pines.” Voting closes this Friday at 8 PM. Thank you for your vote! Shop early at the Moore County Farmers Market Thursday due to the heat. Because the heat index will be high, water will be at the Millstone tent for customers. An abundance of summer vegetables will be available as well as eggs, local honey, meat (beef, fish, pastured pork, chicken, and ostrich), breads and desserts (scones, zucchini and banana bread, cookies, pretzels, and more), condiments (pickles, jams and jellies), plants, cut flowers (sun flowers and zinnias, soaps, and pottery. Join us on Thursday at 604 W. Morganton Road from 9-1 and on Saturday on the corner of NY & Broad at the downtown park from 8-noon, both in Southern Pines. Matthew Bahr will be the musician for the day on Saturday. We hope to see you at the markets! Stay cool!
