April 16-18
The Thursday market on Morganton Road and the downtown Southern Pines market are open because we supply essential goods. The Southern Pines market will open Saturday, April 18th. Several rules have been put in place to keep everyone safe. Markers and signs will be prevalent at both markets, but the downtown market will have traffic going in one direction only. Please follow the arrows and enter and exit at any entrance point. All traffic will go to the right. Please maintain 6 foot distances at all times. You may skip ahead if you do not wish to stop at each vendor station. Hand sanitizers are available at each table for use by vendors and/or customers. Tables will be wiped down frequently. Customers and vendors should wear masks. Vendors are asked to wear gloves to protect themselves, but after each transaction they will sanitize. Only one customer or family unit will be allowed to purchase at a time. Others should stand back 6 feet to wait. We are discouraging small children and dogs at this time. No hula hoops or balls, music, or food demos will be provided until further notice. We will try to keep the market as safe as we can while we continue to provide fresh produce, other products, and meats. As much as possible, everything will be prepackaged. Customers are asked to point, pay, and exit quickly. Many healthy choices are available for you to purchase: meat, eggs, local honey, kale, Swiss chard, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, collards, goat cheese, jams, jellies, pickles, breads, desserts, and scones and more. Strawberries are coming soon! As a gentle reminder for the benefit of all, “Get in, get out, and get home!” We appreciate all of your efforts to help us provide for you during this troubling period. Many thanks for your business and cooperation.
